SDONL Goals & Strategic Priorities

#1: Education 

  • Expand member knowledge of public policy issues
  • Participate in the annual Nurses Day at the Legislature
  • Support educational scholarships
  • Maintain a resource list of suggested topics/speakers who can be referenced for District meeting presentations
  • Invite SDAHO staff to attend SDONE meetings to present and answer questions re: work council
  • One paid SDONE member in attendance at the annual meeting will be drawn to receive $1000.00 in actual expenses toward a conference of their choice related to Nursing Leadership topic and present at the next year's annual member meeting
       

#2: SDONE Membership

  • Continue membership drives at the State and District levels
  • Reduce rates to$25 for first time SDONE members and students
  • Reach out to nurses pursuing advanced degrees in nursing, aspiring nursing leaders, and others who may benefit from our discussions
  • Continue renewal notices sent by Treasurer
  • Offer opportunities for members to provide feedback across the continuum of care

#3: Website Enhancement and Membership Communication
  • Maintain the SDONE website to remain current
  • Include SDONE highlights in the newsletter and on the website, including District and Board information
